Our family is looking to adopt these wonderful 5 siblings from Eastern Europe (we learned later on that there was another brother in a third foster home!!!)
I know that there is a reason that we met "by chance" at the doctor's office. I was literally constrained by the spirit to turn around, ask about the host program - and these children!
The host family that had these children in their home last summer, had been inspired to host them through an orphan hosting program called A New Horizon For Children (www.NHFC.org)
I felt pushed to get in touch with the host family and asked if my family and I could meet and visit with the children. We invited them to play with us at our neighborhood pool. We met with them and the host family twice at the pool, and already have some sweet memories of the children.
Fertility issues have kept our family small. After thinking, discussing and praying about these wonderful children (for several months now) my husband, our two sons and I have decided that we would love to add them to our family. We feel that our family would then be complete!!
We feel a love for them already! We have started the adoption process, and are almost to the point of receiving a social worker into our home to complete the "Home Study" program. We also have been doing all that we can to fundraise. We keep them in our prayers. We send them notes and pictures. We hope that they will want to be a permanent part of our family.
Funds are tight, our home is modest, but our hearts are open and longing for the future children that will fill our lives with laughter, learning, stretching and growing.
Would you prayerfully consider helping us in this chance to change eternity for these children and for us?!
