Update on Mike ❤️ We wanted to share a little update on Mike and, once again, say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated, shared the fundraiser or simply reached out to check on him. Mike has now undergone major brain surgery to remove the tumour. It was a long and complex operation, but thankfully he is now on the other side of it and beginning his recovery. We are still waiting for the final histology results, which will tell us more about the tumour and whether Mike will need any further treatment. Considering everything his brain and body have been through, he is making progress, but there is still a long road ahead. Recovery from an operation of this magnitude takes time, and at the moment we simply don’t know what the next few months will look like. For the foreseeable future, Mike is unable to work and is also unable to drive, which has taken away a huge amount of his independence and income almost overnight. Our priority now is giving Mike the time and space he needs to recover without the added pressure of worrying about financially looking after his family, bills and everyday living costs while he has no regular income. The support you’ve all shown him has already made an enormous difference. Every donation, share, message and kind word has reminded Mike just how many people are behind him. We don’t yet know exactly what comes next, but Mike is here, the tumour has been operated on, and he’s taking recovery one day at a time. Thank you for continuing to stand alongside him.
