Stronger Together

Hi Everyone,

As I’m going through my own battles with cancer, I feel that I must focus not on me but on others going through battles of their own.  My heart says who better to help than foster children. I want them to know they are loved, that even when things seem impossible God can move mountains. That even at their darkest hour God is with them, and that sometimes he sends his people to let them know he is there.

When a child arrives at foster care they receive  a trash bag for their belongings. How comforting can that be? I would like to have them each receive a decorated duffle bag, with a blanket, teddy bear, coloring books, crayons and a hygiene kit. They’ve gone through so much. Just thinking how scared they must be breaks my heart.The duffle bag will be decorated on the outside, each different to make them unique.

Many of you have asked me how can you help me as I fight my battle. This is something dear to my heart and I would love for you to help me reach my goal of 50 bags. Each bag costs $25 to make. Whatever you can give towards that goal would be great.
