U'Ren Family Support Cottage Grove
Kirk died at the scene and Jennifer remains in critical condition. Kirk and Jenni’s twin toddler boys were safely at home with their grandmother and are safe in the care of family members.
As Jennifer fights for her life in a nearby hospital and preparations for Kirk U’Ren’s funeral are made, their twins, Kayden and Grayson, are continuing to attend school at KSLC, tuition free.
Jenni and Kirk were hands on parents ,always attentive and caring. They made it a purpose to participate in their children's school activities and support center events. The were exemplary parents and kind to all teachers, staff and others in our small community.
Our thoughts and prayers are extended to their family.
Anyone wanting to share their support and express their empathy can do so through this fund page or by visiting the Kids' Safari web page at www.kids-safari.com.
We are accepting donations, cards, etc. and passing it along to the families of Kirk and Jenni.
Kirk was one of the best people I knew. He is the reason I am where I am in life. He continued to drive me forward and didn't let me take crap from anyone, including him. This tragedy is still very hard to process, I can't believe he is gone. I am so blessed to have had him in my life. His smile could light up a room, that is what I will always remember. My prayers are with his family and friends, we mourn together.
'So sorry to hear about this horrid accident. Although I did not know this beautiful young couple, I remember his mom, Geri from years ago - such a wonderful person who I worked with at Head Start years ago - you have my sincere sympathy, Geri and family. You are in my prayers.
I'm so sorry to hear of the loss for this family. I didn't know them personally, nor do I have any money to spare for them..but I'm a parent to 15 month old twin boys as well. I can't begin to imagine two little ones losing a parent. My condolences go out to the family and prayers are being said for the recovery of the mom. Thinking of you all!
Kirk is a great guy a guy that would listen to anyone. He was a Co Manager at a Walmart I worked at. He told me I could be anything I wanted to be and gave me pointers. Kirk and I have been on golf outings we had lots of fun. Kirk you will be missed but not forgotten. My prayers go to the family and Jennifer. God Bless.
Kirk was a amazing person. I wouldn't be where I am in my career of hewouldn't have believed in me and taken a shot on me. He kept pushing me to be better and believe in myself. When times for tough and I wanted to give up he wouldn't let me. He took time reach day to makesure I knew I was doing a good job. When I first started working for Kirk the first thing he said to me was you better wear your running shoes because your about to make miracles happen. As I continue to grows in my career I will never forget that and continue to push and not give up because of Kirk and I will continue to make him proud and make him not regret taking a chance on me.
My prayers and thoughts are with your family. I'm so sorry for your loss and I'm praying for a full recovery for Jennifer. God bless.
