At the Washington State 10th Congressional District Caucus on May 21, 2014 five delegates were elected to represent Bernie Sanders at the 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, PA. Out of the five, there were three women from Thurston County. Jessica Blose was one of those 3 women!

Jessica Blose
Jessica’s formative years were spent around Buffalo, NY, the 4th poorest city in the USA. Buffalo is a place where the fallacy and moral corruption of free trade agreements are evident. Here a once mighty industrial center has struggled with a 58% loss in manufacturing jobs over the past 50 years. Due to an affordable public education system Jessica became the first in her immediate family to obtain a graduate school education and she was able to gain two masters degrees with no debt. Jessica realizes how much of an outlier she is within her generation and the need for immediate education reform. Now living in Olympia, Washington Jessica is a licensed mental health and substance use counselor. Jessica has seen the need for healthcare reform working at not-for-profits, and as a public servant working for Washington State. As a lifelong Democratic Socialist, Jessica has answered Bernie’s call to action to begin a political revolution making over 3,000 phone bank calls across the USA, hosting over 20 campaign/phonebank events in Olympia, and canvasing in multiple states for Bernie Sanders.
For Jessica it means everything to participate in The Democratic National Convention and to represent Thurston County as warrior for Bernie Sanders and our movement. We appreciate any and all donations to help defray the costs to get there!
