Our goal with The Rolling Barber, a non-profit organization, is to purchase an old school bus and transform it into a hair salon on wheels in which we would offer free shampoo and cuts to whoever is in need of one.

After contacting some charity organizations in Ottawa's downtown area, we realized this need is crucial and the timing is right.

We are hoping that you, personally or someone you know, will be able to contribute to this project in order to help many in our community. For as little as a few dollars, you could help provide a haircut and styling to someone who is trying to put his/her life in order.

Please visit our website www.rollingbarber.ca to learn more about this initiative and to see how the project is evolving.

The monies collected will go towards buying the bus, its transformation and the supplies needed to offer this free service in the first year.

Please give generously, every dollar counts! Do not hesitate to share this with your network. :)

Hello everyone,

Just a little update to tell you that OBSCO has donated used barber chair to us as well as giving us a great discount on our much-needed supplies. I am also glad to say that there are more in-kind donations in the works. With wonderful companies pitching-in this way, I see the real possibility of this project being realized! Because of this, I am reducing our goal from $15,000 to $12,000.

Thank you to everyone who contributed, financially or otherwise. Together, we can make anything happen!

Yesterday, we got to see THE BUS!! Well, our Director François got to see it in person, and I saw the wonderful pictures he took. Thursday, I have a meeting with OBSCO's manager to hopefully buy used barbers chairs and supplies. We still need your help in order to be able to purchase these. Please help spread the word - we are truly grateful for every donation, big or small. Together, we can change the world!

Please visit our Facebook page ( https://www.facebook.com/rollingbarber.ca) to see all the new pictures of the bus.

Hello dear friends,

First and foremost, I want to thank all our supporters from the bottom of my heart. Your donations mean the world to our team and I promise to make every dollar count!

Last week, we were given a school bus which will be available in May! This is truly the first step toward realizing our dream of offering these services free of charge… and on the road :)

We have also received an invitation to visit a shelter in April and offer our services on the premises. We will, however, need to bring our own supplies. If anyone has any contact where we could purchase towels, scissors, brushes, shampoo, etc. at low cost, please contact me. The money raised here is to go towards the purchase of the bigger items for the bus, hence my request today.

Please continue sharing with everyone and anyone. Together, we can accomplish miracles!
