National Delegate for Bernie - TX 8

Hello.
My name is Austin Dreis-Ornelas and I am a National Delegate for Bernie Sanders from Plano, TX (SD-8).
I will be at the DNC Convention in Philly, but the reality is that it is not cheap to attend this event. Between the lodging at the designated hotel ($520/Night x 5 Nights / 4 delegates per room for the National Convention, jeez...), airfare, ground transportation, etc... the costs add up...
That's why I am asking for your support. I need to raise $2,500 before July 23rd, so I can reserve my room and lock down my flight.
Bernie is the People's Champion, and I want to be there at the Convention to fight like hell for "the strongest progressive agenda that any political party has ever seen," the two most important issues being Campaign Finance and Climate Change. Bernie is the only Candidate that seems to understand the urgency that is necessary to address the accelerated warming of our planet; and you can't get anything substantial passed without getting money out of politics. Our system needs fundamental change and I will be there on the front lines, be it as a volunteer, protester, or National Delegate, to make it make it happen.
I was Co-Chair of the SD-8 Delegate Organization for Bernie Sanders, which is working tirelessly to organize, support, and train our district delegates before the Texas Democratic Convention. I also was active with the Wendy Davis Campaign in 2014, registering voters, and other GOTV efforts, as well as attending various marches and protests seeking to raise awareness of the Corrupting Influence of Money in Politics, most recently being the Democracy Spring Protests in DC.
Also, I am a member of PREP, which actually managed to get 3 solid petitions cemented in the Texas Democratic Platform, including FDRs Second Bill of Rights, limiting Superdelegates to remove lobbyists, and to breakup the Big Banks, etc. That wasn't exactly easy, but alas, I'm not in this because it's easy.
I am a pledged delegate for Bernie to the Democratic National Convention, representing SD-8 voters who voted for Bernie. I WILL be there to support him and his 1900 other delegates. I appreciate any amount that you can donate, and I look forward to representing you at the National Convention.
