Opening the T.R.A.C.E Learning Center( Teaching and Reaching All Children Equally) has been a goal of mine for a long time. I have been a Special Education teacher for 15 years. Through my experience, I have discoverd a need for an after school program for children with intellectual disabilities, challenging behaviors, and children who suffer from adverse childhood experiences. My program will offer services to children after a full or modified school day. The program will have a structured environment that will allow the children to increase and improve their social skills, communication and independence. The program will also offer leisure, relaxation and sensory integration activities. I am hoping to gain the finances to start the T.R.A.C.E. Learning Center.
