Standing Rock Woodstoves

Donation protected
Please help me purchase Wood stoves to support the Standing Rock Camps in North Dakota. Temperatures regularly fall below zero and the wind chill below -20. Warmth will be essential for the survival of the people there this winter.

There are over 7000 people at Standing Rock representing over 300 tribes, including significant numbers of European-Americans. The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe is leading those who have gathered in unity to stop the Dakota access pipeline, in order protect the community's drinking water and uphold treaty agreements with the US government.

This is an environmental, social justice and human rights movement and they need our help. Let us add our voices and pool our resources to send heat to the tribes in need. They have requested stoves to help them to make it through the cold. They have been in the Standing Rock Camp since April and plan on staying thought the winter, and until clean water is valued as more important than profits.

We are at a tipping point right now with our environment, let us stand up and support water as life. The warmth of wood stoves as well as the warmth of our hearts and prayers, will help sustain the people who are standing up and speaking for the water and those of us who can not be there in person.

My name is Erika and I am working with  all three camps, Oceti Sakowin, Rosebud, Sacred Stone,  along side Earthwin Global, and Redlightning, to get heat and shelters out to Standing Rock Reservation.

My original goal was to purchase at least 40 stoves, (used and new) and the equipment needed to set them up, and drive them to the Standing Rock reservation. Gas money and money to rent a truck would also be helpful as I will be giving up hours at work to make this trip. At this time we have delivered over 131 stoves and we are continuing to supply the camps and stove crew with stoves, and stove parts to maintain the stoves.  We are also at this point shipping firewood out to all three camps to keep the stoves cookin!

Most the wood stoves I am looking at bringing cost between $100-200. We make most of them, as well as source used and donated stoves.

Your contributions will help make this trip possible. Every dime donated will be used to buy woodstoves, heating units and to cover the cost of gas and shipping.

It is important to me that we support the Earth. It is important to me to support the people who are standing up and making their voices heard to support the Earth, the waters and human rights. Please share this campaign far and wide!

ANY amount of support will help.

THANK YOU!

I am grateful for your assistance and the assistance of earthwin, a non profit that is helping me, to make your donations tax deductible.
