Innocent children are dying in besieged Aleppo. Medical workers are dying. Hospitals are being destroyed. These are war crimes. Plain and simple.
We, humanity, are better than this. The time has come. We must stand up for those trapped in besieged Aleppo. We must tell them they are not forgotten.
No matter our religion, these are our brothers and sisters. Our sons and daughters.
100% of the funds we raise here will be to promote #StandWithAleppo on social media. Please give what you can so together we can tell the world about this little girl, Doaa. She is three. Her home was bombed and she suffered a brain injury. There are many more children like her and they need us. Right now. They need us.
Please give so we can look at our children, at our friends, and our loved ones and know we did everything we could to save the innocent civilians trapped in Aleppo, without food, without water, without medical care.
We beg you. Please give. Please share. Please tell the world about Doaa and besieged Aleppo.
Hi Jenny! Our statement above includes that these dollars are going solely towards supporting our social media campaign, which I and others who created it are managing (two of us donated $400 towards it as well). These dollars are not going towards refugees either locally or abroad. Our goal is to raise awareness and engage people across the country and the world around the humanitarian disaster in Aleppo. After launching the campaign Sunday night, we've directly reached 1 million people on Twitter alone. The photo above is a picture that our friend, a doctor in Aleppo, took of a little girl named Doaa (holding his hand), after he performed surgery on her. Sadly, we learned today that she died...
How are these donations being used to support children in Aleppo? Who will receive the funds when the campaign ends?
