Cooking for the Homeless

St Mary's Catholic Academy is currently running an amazing project thanks to Mr Mitchell and participating students who help cook for the homeless in the Blackpool area on a weekly basis by cooking meals for them. In the past, we have cooked several meals for the homeless community such as Stir Fry, Chilli Con Carne, Lasagna, Pasta Bake and much more.

Each week our teacher leading this project, Mr Mitchell, ends up paying for the ingredients each week out of his own pocket and I want to help contribute towards paying for more ingredients so that each week we can cook larger batches of foods and donate a larger variety of food to the homeless community.

Not only will your donations to this amazing cause help to feed the homeless in the Blackpool area and ensure that they are getting the food and nutrition they need, but you will also help to ensure that students such as myself are able to learn skills for life such as preparing and cooking meals.

Ideally, I am hoping to reach my target within the next few weeks so that the money can be donated as soon as possible and we can help to make a larger difference in the homeless community by providing them with more food for them to enjoy from the staff and students of St Mary's.

I am massively grateful for any and all online and offline donations that you will be able to contribute to this amazing cause and I am sure that the staff, students and homeless community in Blackpool will also be even more grateful for allowing us to be able to look after those in our community who need our help.
