Help Root—2017 CO State Convention

Root was elected on February 11th as a "Bonus" State Central Committee Member for 2017! — Please help Root get to the Colorado Democratic State Party Meeting, March 11th, 2017. To cover the convention meal ($125) and other travel expenses Root could use at least $300. I've already received some help; any extra will go to progressive Democratic causes, in the honor and name of Bernie Sanders and other progressives.
Funding Need: I put a funding goal of $500 to help me get to State and for our upcoming local La Plata County annual event in May. So, I'm asking folks who supported Bernie, as well as any others who wish to, to help me with whatever you can afford—and I will make sure our message together is heard at the State Democratic Party meeting on March 11th, as I vote for progressive candidates Morgan Carroll for Colorado Democratic Party Chair, Gil Barela for 1st Vice Chair, and Patricia Shaver for 2nd Vice Chair.
At 70 years old, Root is on limited fixed Social Security income with literally no descretionary funds or savings beyond monthly cost of living expenses. He needs your financial help to stay involved in the future of the Democratic Party and its progressive politics—on behalf of you, working families everywhere, and especially low-income people who struggle every day just to make ends meet, yet want to get involved and stay involved to help save our country.
DemEnterCO: I thought the 2016 National Convention would be the end of my involvement; but then several of the Front Range National Bernie Delegates and others started something they called "DemEnterCO" to bring in Berniecrats and other progressives into the democratic process at all levels of the Democratic Party, especially at the local level. The point being: to infuse the party with fresh, vibrant energy and progressive engagement at all levels. So inspired by what they were doing, I went to our La Plata County Dem meeting and got elected for two new positions:
At Large Executive Committee Member; and
State Central Committee Member,
as one of our four "Bonus" SCC members, which we got due to our huge turnout in the last election.
Annual La Plata County Meeting and Dinner, May 2017: Also upcoming is our local La Plata County "Roosevelt's Dinner" fund raiser, which will run at least $125. I simply can't afford to attend and participate in these events without your help. Lot's of people helped me get to the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia as a Bernie Sanders Delegate, for which I'm so grateful.

Our future is desparately in peril—our society and economy, our politics and government (by corporate and billionaire oligarchs), our climate, our environement, our planet. Representation: I'm representing the future and people Bernie stands for—and it's for veterans (I'm a Vietnam Veteran), seniors, hard-working folks, families, my kids and yours and our grandchildren, and young folks across this country who are simply trying to get an education and a start in life without owing their lives to our corrupt financial institutions. I have mixed race grandchildren and am representing justice and equality for Black people across this nation. I'm representing everyone who cares about our future and about each other. I'm representing those who are hungry and homeless—those unfortunate people who our economic system has discarded.
I'm also representing Bernie Sanders for President 2020! Bernie is our wise elder, he will bring in 10s and 10s of millions of new people; and he's not letting up!
