Lawton York Rite Temple Restoration

Donation protected

This fundraiser is to provide funds for the restoration of the last York Rite Masonic Temple in the state of Oklahoma.  The York Rite Masons of Oklahoma are well known for their charitable gifts and philanthropies, and now need the help of friends, neighbors, Brothers and anyone who so dearly desire these traditions to continue.  This beautiful building was built in 1903, and established as the York Rite Masonic Temple in the 1968.  It has survived to stand today as the last York Rite Temple in Oklahoma.  It is in need of many structural and electrical repairs and upgrades to the interior and exterior of the property.  There are so many unique qualities of this site and property.  It also stands as the only repository for Masonic artifacts from generations of York Rite Masons all over the state.  To preserve this structure is to preserve the very essence of the Lawton and Oklahoma Knight Templars and continue to provide the home of York Rite Masonry in Oklahoma.  These funds will be needed very soon, as the weather improves and starts into spring, we have many plans to apply these funds to projects over the next 6-8 months.  We thank you for your interest in preserving a part of Lawton, Comanche County, Oklahoma and Masonic history for many years to come.
