The Family of Christopher Truax Jr
As many of you know, my nephew, Christopher Allen Truax Jr., recently lost his life at the tender age of 21. Chris was a dedicated Marine and family man who showed a tremendous amount of pride in having the opportunity to serve his country. His loss has devastated the entire community in ways words cannot describe. Chris leaves behind a loving wife and one-year old son who bears his name.
The purpose of this campaign is to create a trust fund for Baby Chris. Thankfully, the military will see to it that his path through college is taken care of. However, this is in effort to facilitate his eventual transition into adulthood and beyond.
There is no pressing timeline with regards to when donations can be received, so please, feel free to donate when the time is right for you.
As I write this, Baby Chris is upstairs cooing, with crumbs from his 1st birthday cake still on his cheeks. At a time that has been beyond difficult for the family, he has been a unifying bright spot, providing both comedy and hope that his father's legacy will live on. Throughout the community, numerous people have reached out wanting to help in some way shape or form. Chris Sr. has requested that all financial support be directed to his grandson in hopes of providing a hint of monetary stability to counterbalance the inevitable challenges that lie ahead for him.
On behalf of the family, we are grateful for any contributions you feel inspired to share. And for those who may not be able to donate, please continue to keep the entire Truax family in your prayers and thoughts as the aftershocks of this tragedy continue to set in.

Forgive me, it's taken me some time to bring this message forth, but Chris wanted me to express his heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported him and the entire family during this difficult time. He's been floored by the outpouring of love and positivity that has been shown. That love came in numerous different shapes and forms, all which were/are appreciated. Just to update you all on the gofundme front, there were a good deal of contributions made hand to hand, as opposed to through the site and at last count, Chris was able to put over $8,000 in a trust fund for Baby Chris. Obviously, there is no amount of money that can account for the loss, but this is certainly a tangible example of the impact Chris Truax made on people's lives. Again, on behalf of the family, thank you all for your prayers, encouragement and overall support. It has been felt.
