Orange City Pride! (Iowa)

Thanks for checking out our page for OC Pride! Please note this is for Orange City, Iowa. I am David Klennert from Orange City, Iowa, and I am one of the organizers of our annual Pride celebration. OC Pride takes place the third weekend in October each year in vibrant Orange City, Iowa. Our mission as OC Pride is to create events to uplift and celebrate the LGBTQA+ community in our corner of the world and beyond. We strive to create a safe, inclusive environment for all. We aim to educate our neighbors, and ourselves, about our history and our future.   Please help us raise funds to expand our events in coming years. Our first two years exceeded expectations and we would like to expand our horizons. Funds raised will be given directly to the organizers and be used for expenses such as location rentals, entertainment and performers, materials for activities, merchandise, outreach, education and support.  

** In the past year, we were able to spend more time having conversations within our community about the importance of being an advocate in a rural small town.  We have also begun the work on creating programs to educate about LGBTQA+ issues, history, advocacy and other topics.  

** We appreciate your support, but also want to recognize that there are many other groups doing great work for the LGBTQA+ community as well.  We encourage you to research for other groups and find the best fit for your beliefs and donate to them as you can.
