Pizzulli Family Fire Recovery Fund

Nicki (Elizabeth) and Stephen Pizzulli, residents of Cecil County, MD, lost their home to a fire on Sunday, 2/11/2018. Both dedicated high school teachers, the Pizzullis are well-loved in their community, where they have chosen to foster children in order to help and support families going through difficulties. Fostering children for the past 3 years, in 2017, Nicki and Stephen were approached about taking a group of siblings in order to keep a family intact. To the delight of the Pizzullis, the family of 3 stretched to a family of 7 overnight.
The Pizzulli family's lives changed suddenly on Sunday afternoon as the family gathered in the kitchen preparing lunch. As the smoke alarms went off, at first they thought the alarms were simply triggered by cooking. Once they realized smoke was gathering on the 2nd floor, they knew it was time to get out. After evacuating the residence, the Pizzullis heard the attic windows shatter as flames engulfed the third floor. (Fire Link https://www.facebook.com/183368901819223/videos/920023988153707/)
The fire quickly reduced the top floor to ash and damaged the second floor, as well. The house was condemned due to fire, smoke and water damage, displacing the family of seven.
As this open-hearted couple have selflessly reached out to their community in teaching, fostering, and caring for children and families, our hope is come behind Nicki and Stephen to care for them, as well.
This GoFundMe page has been established to help defray the costs of replacing all their belongings which were destroyed by fire, smoke or water, and to defray the costs of securing a new residence.
