Phillips Adoption

Last Summer we had the opportunity to host an orphan from Ukraine in our home for a few months.  From the moment we met her, our lives were changed.  

In less than a year she will celebrate her 16th birthday.  But, unfortunately for her and her friends, it’s not a “sweet 16” to celebrate.  At the age of 16 the orphans are sent out on their own.  They “age out” of the system to live independently.  She’s a bright student, on track to attend the university there, but because of the country’s economic state, the chance of an orphan being accepted into a university is small.  The war is wreaking havoc on the country, and there’s not much of an outlook for a job or career.  This sweet, beautiful girl that we love is facing the reality of a difficult future.   

As we fell in love with her, we knew we couldn’t leave her to a life of hardship on the streets of Ukraine.  We have been called to intervene!  We know it’s God’s will for our lives to step in and help re-write her story.  We can’t wait to have her safe in our arms, with a warm bed and hugs every night.  She  can't wait to be here, with her forever family.  

International adoption expenses are very high, and we are on a tight timeline to complete the adoption before her birthday.  We are asking for support to ease the burden of the adoption expenses.  Thank you for investing in the future of an orphan who is beyond excited to begin her new life with a forever family.
