Petrov Fund

Igor Petrov was a serial entrepreneur, CTO, technical lead, mentor, and colleague to many ventures and people across the world. He built consumer, medical, creative, and innovative web software that affected many teams and individuals.

Igor Petrov was the CTO of Zellmo, Medetel, APIQ Cloud, Gradus, and one of Stadium Goods' Principal Web Engineers who played a critical role in developing each company's core technologies; he was a confidante and friend to many of our engineers and leads. He passed away last Friday on August 3rd, 2018.

He is a well respected, startup figure in the Tech Community through his blog and has products on Product Hunt: building teams/products across startups such as Stadium Goods, Zellmo, Medetel, Gradus , and APIQ. He was a highly regarded mentor on CodeMentor and HackHands.

Igor and his family were planning to come to NYC in a few weeks to dedicate his talents with our team as we build out the future of Stadium Goods' technology.

To show our respects and gratitude: We have created a Petrov Fund for his family of which, he is succeeded by a wife, Olga, and young son - he was only 35 years old. The Fund will go to assisting their family pay for expenses such as the funeral as well as anything they need during this difficult time.

While contribution to this fund is voluntary, we encourage everyone to show that despite how much or how little we may have interacted with Igor as a technical lead or engineer — that the products he has built runs and operates our core online businesses; in that, he's affected our daily lives and work — let’s do what we can to take care of our own.

This is a collaborative effort to give all we can to meet the Petrov Fund goal (15K) to assist his family to find grounding after this tragic loss. Every amount—great or small—is appreciated from the top-down and bottom-up across all teams.
