Neighbors Helping Deb

My neighbor, Deb, owns and lives in a duplex in Harrison West.  She has rented out the other half of her home for years without any issues. Unfortunately, when the most recent renters left, their "friend" remained behind and turned the place into a drug den. When she tried to get them to leave, they claimed "Squatter's Rights" and she had to go through a lengthy process to evict them (because Ohio law gives squatters a considerable amount of rights for property they don't own). When they were finally lawfully evicted, they left complete chaos and the destruction of her house behind. 

Damages to the house include:
*A smashed outfront window
*Knocked out rungs in the bannister
*Every room filled with decrepit furniture and debris *Holes in the walls and ceilings
*The hardwood doors have been destroyed
*The plumbing no longer functions 
*Kitchen cabinets and appliances were wrecked
*They left the place littered with needles
...and more

Please help me help my neighbor Deb put the rental half of her property back together as it will enable her to keep her house. Deb has been on disability for a few years and the duplex is her livelihood. She's a good neighbor and she didn't deserve to have this happen to her home. Your donation will go towards home repairs once we have managed to empty it of the considerable debris. 

The Short North has been my neighborhood for 20-some years. I love it because of the awesome folks who live here, the thriving unique businesses and the community we've created. Please help one of your neighbors keep her home.
