Food Storage for Standing Rock!

Please help us fund a storage structure for a new kitchen at the Oceti Sakowin Camp on the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation in North Dakota.  I was just at camp to assess the most immediate needs, and this is at the forefront.  

We are Montanans that stand in solidarity with the Standing Rock people in their struggle to stop the  DAPL pipeline from destroying sacred sites and contaminating the Missouri River, the source of drinking water for the tribe and millions of others downstream.

The first $2000 raised here went towards purchasing a tipi for the Oceti Sakowin Camp security team, the first installment towards the new food storage structure for Rachel's Kitchen (which is DELICIOUS...), and gas to deliver the tipi and a truckload of other donated supplies, including another tipi.

We will use this site as well as the Montana Stands With Standing Rock Facebook page to keep you informed about the progress towards our goal as well as what the money is being used for.

-Extreme cold weather boots, coats, snowpants, base layers, hats, gloves and neck gaiters
-Extreme cold sleeping bags (0 degrees and less)
-4-season/mountaineering tents
-Axes
-Shovels for digging paths
-Tipi poles 
-Wool socks!!!
-Sleds (for hauling firewood to individual camps)
-Cross country ski and snowshoe gear (skis, poles and boots).  The main camp is a few miles from the front lines.
-Snow gaiters
-Ski goggles and sunglasses
-Binoculars
