April 5, 2016 - MD to Flint Water Drive Continues
Family, Friends and Supporters....we are headed back to Michigan on April 23rd to deliver more water to the Flint community. Our last trip was very impactful (see impact letter below), but we know the residents in Flint, MI will be in need of water until the city repairs the water pipes which can take years. 

With your support, we were able to raise $6,448 to cover all expenses for the first trip. We are now asking for your continued support as we plan for our second trip. We thank you in advance for your selfless generosity and monetary donations that will assist us in reaching our goal to supply the Flint, MI community with clean water!

About the Effort   
Maryland business owner, George Anderson, Sr. and his friend, Ron Lee have decided to take matters into their own hands. They are spearheading an effort to load two trucks of water as well as other essential supplies and will personally drive them to Flint, Michigan. So, they need your help!

Shortly after George and Ron announced their MD to Flint Water Drive vision, they received an overwhelming number of commitments from citizens and companies who plan to collect bottled water and other essential supplies in their communities and places of business throughout the D.C. Metropolitan Area.

How You Can Help
Although they have received many commitments of support, George and Ron would appreciate your donations of bottled water, diapers, and baby-wipes which can be dropped off at one of the collections points listed on the efforts facebook pages. In addition, monetary donations can be made at https://www.gofundme.com/MDtoFlint-MI where 100% of all donations will go toward this effort more specifically for securing trucks and gas to transport the water. The organization, Well of Hope in Flint, Michigan has been identified as the recipient where the donations will be delivered. (https://www.facebook.com/wellofhopeflint/info/?tab=overview).

All items must be dropped off at a collection point by 12 noon on Thursday, February 11th. On Friday, February 12th, a team of drivers plan to travel from MD to Flint, MI with clean and refreshing bottled water as well as other essentials. The cut off for monetary donations is Monday, February 15th.
