We request your support for La Leche League of Cedar Rapids. We need your help to get a new LLL group started in Cedar Rapids and support local families.
La Leche League of Cedar Rapids will offer local mother-to-mother breastfeeding support by providing information and encouragement to breastfeeding mothers. Our monthly meetings, email, and phone support are always free. Jen, a LLL accredited leader, is a local volunteer mom who has received training from LLL to offer breastfeeding support.

Our goals in this new group’s first year are to:
1. support and help mothers with breastfeeding questions and concerns through email, phone calls and in-person monthly meetings. Our first meeting will be 07/28/16, 6:30PM at the Cedar Rapids Public Library Children’s Room. Please join us!
2. sponsor 3 mothers training to support our community as new LLL Leaders.
3. host a Cedar Rapids Live, Love, Latch! event during World Breastfeeding Week to celebrate community support for breastfeeding and bring breastfeeding families together. https://www.facebook.com/events/244219709301908/
To meet these goals we are raising funds this summer for leader training and accreditation ($600), community outreach including printing meeting flyers and hosting community events ($250), and building a current lending library of reliable print and online breastfeeding resources ($150). Every little bit helps and even if you can’t give financially right now, please join us at our monthly meetings and consider volunteering your time to help our group as treasurer, librarian, hostess, event planner, or greeter.
