I'm so thrilled to have been elected by Iowa District 1 to represent Bernie Sanders supporters at the Democratic National Convention!
Originally, I planned to self-fund my trip. I had a cheap Air B&B booked, and my flight is taken care of. However, the campaign is requesting we stay at the official hotel booked by the state, which is around $700 per night. I'm staying for 7 nights, so even though I'll share a room for some nights, it will be expensive!
Any contribution you can make helps me get there and not only represent Senator Bernie Sanders, but his progressive, "for the people" platform and the tens of thousands of people in the first district who support it.
Fun side fact: Visiting Phildelphia has always been on my bucket list, because Ben Franklin is my 8th great uncle, and I've never been. Two berns, one stone!
