Bunker Gear Extractors For KCFD!

As a wife of a 22 year Kansas City Firefighter, I grow concerned for my husband and his brothers and sisters on the job.
Recently, many articles have been posted regarding Cancers among Firemen and Women due to the carcinogens their bodies absorb during and after a fire.
I then came across a piece stating that KCFD has 34 Firehouses and only 13 of those have the proper Extractors needed to clean the bunker gear ridding them of toxins. Without extractors in each station, these men and women reuse contaminated gear for the duration of their 24 hour shift.
I have set a goal to try and raise the money needed to purchase 21 extractors for the stations without them.
With your help we can pay it forward to our cities heroes that put their life on the line for us daily!
KCFD run 110,000 ish calls a year. If we were to get $5.00 from the scared person that called 911 in a panic and $5.00 from the loved one that is thankful they showed up...WE CAN DO THIS!!!
