Fix Carol's car

My 75 year old neighbor needs help. Her car died. It's a 1989 Buick Regal.
The other day when she took me to my doctors appointment, when it was time to leave the car wouldn't start. There is something wrong with the fuel system. It took an hour to get the car to start and it stalled all the way home. It finally died in the driveway.
Due to being on a limited income, there is nothing she can do to repair the car due to finances. So I would like to help her.
Carol has been driving me to and from my doctor appointments, grocery store and to the vets so my foster kittens can get their shots. I have been unable to drive due to my recovery from spinal meningitis and encephalitis. She refuses to take gas money. If it wasn't for her, I would be more broke then I am. All I do is give her a call, and she drops everything to take me.
She also uses the car a couple times a week to run errands. She only shops for food a week at a time. She uses the car to deposit her check and to go to the city to pay her water bill.
She said since she is 75 there is no reason to buy a new car. She still owes on her house. Her husband passed away years ago.
Carol helps others out all the time. She watches the neighborhood like a hawk. She feeds all the feral and abandoned cats twice a day.
I have spoken to a mechanic and he figures it will be about this 600,00. She also needs a muffler and tune up. Maybe more.
The repair shop is called Pride Auto and Truck Repair in Warren. If you want, you can call there with a credit card and put it towards her bill. Call and ask for Lee. Tell him it's for Carol's car.
Any unused money will go to repare other things on her car. Like fixing the door (it doesn't open), getting her a new muffler, tires, and a rearview mirror (her's fell off).
