Hancock County Medical Mission 2018

Tax deductible
On February 10, 2018 we will pack up our scrubs and head to Dajabon, Dominica Republic, on the border with Haiti, to serve unmet medical needs of Dominicans, and Haitians crossing the border to access our care.

We have been doing this work since 1989, traveling to Latin American on a yearly basis to provide major and minor surgeries to people who cannot access the care they need. This year's mission will also provide primary care, vision checks, dental care and health teaching.

Our team is made up of medical providers, nurses, translators and general helpers from Hancock County (Maine) who devote their vacation time to this exceptional volunteer experience. Flight and mission costs mean dipping into savings as well.

Three high school students from Hancock County who have learned Spanish will join us as helpers and translators. This will be the 20th year of our Student Scholarship Program.

Donations go toward assisting volunteers with trip costs, paying the students' way, and buying surgical supplies. Know that the value of your donation will be multiplied with the medical care we deliver.
