Help Team Win & Serve Community Too

Donation protected
These three young middle-schoolers are Science,Technology, Engineering, & Math (STEM) enthusiasts who are driven by the ideas of group learning and community sharing. They find various subjects to learn, practice and master (like Computer Programming, Robotics & Artificial Intelligence, Advance Mathematics etc),and then expand their group activities to help the community too.  They mentor younger kids, volunteer at their local public library to run free classes, and popularize & advocate group activities among classmates, friends, neighbors & their community.

Their current interest area is robotics. This year, their team won three first prizes out of four national level challenges they had participated at John Hopkins University (JHU ), Baltimore, MD. Last year they mastered building LEGO Mindstorms robots , created a robotics group in the town, and participated in the First Lego League (FLL) challenge. Their robot managed to achieve 5th place in the FLL Robot Game, out of 25 teams.

They are in love with the subject and are extremely motivated by the honor and respect they are getting from the society as a result of giving back to the community already. They have big ideas for 2016 & 2017: Mastering Arduino and Raspberry Pi  like tools, Expanding the team size, creating a website & YouTube channel to share their learning content, arranging teaching sessions for younger kids with the support of local organizations, and of course, participating in more challenges to gather more experience through collaboration with other teams.

The name of their robotics team is: A. I. Robotics (Airo), the Facebook page is: Airo Teamus, the twitter handle is: Airo2016, the LinkedIn profile is: www.linkedin.com/in/AiRobotics, the web-site is: www.airobotics.us and the YouTube channel is: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UConGhZmy33yxIsRWknoJvBg

Robotics is complicated - it takes a lot of time to learn. Robotics is expensive - it takes a lot of resources (various sensors, electronics components, kits, batteries and much more). The components are expensive to buy (they often need multiple sets for their teaching sessions), and many competitions involve participation fees, travel and other related expenses. While parents still continue to provide as much funding as they can, every bit from sponsors like you will really help. The fund will be spent only for buying robotics related components and paying for challenge participation related expenses along with building their website & YouTube channel. The team pledges to keep doing what they've been doing well so far: empowering theirselves and empowering the community by means of learning & giving back to society.  The team also pledges to remain 'green' and recycle as much as they can to not waste any resources.

The name of every sponsor can be displayed on their web-site if the sponsors have no objection. They are highly motivated and extremely talented kids with very high cognitive abilities. While the idea is to 'learn' and 'teach' more than anything else, you never know if they win many competitions and make a name for themselves and all of us who are associated :)
