20Days to Empower20 Haitians
Donation protected
THANK YOU for watching our video! If you haven't yet, check it out now!
We launched this social action campaign to raise awarenesss about 1) Haiti's foreign aid dependency and 2) the amazing entrepreneurial spirit that the country posesses. Beyond spreading awareness, we also wanted to motivate people like YOU to take action by supporting Haiti's largest microfinance institution Fonkoze.
To hear from the women of Fonkoze themselves: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tq8uSiP6_lQ.
Fonkoze serves poor and ultra-poor women in rural Haiti, and has a total of 45 branches located throughout the country. One of the ways Fonkoze achieves this goal is by providing support to Haitian women who already own small businesses but still lack necessary business skills training. They not only help bring their businesses to the next level, but also lift their families out of poverty, and develop the Haitian economy.
Our specific goal is to raise $500. We will deposit our collective donation on December 2nd because it is Giving Tuesday for Fonkoze. This day its Board of Directors has committed to matching all donations made dollar for dollar.
Our $500 that would usually provide 10 Haitian women wiht business skills classes, now give us the opportunity to empower and change the lives of 20 Haitian entrepreneurs, doubling our impact (awesome isn’t it?).
We released this video on November 12th - that gives us 20 days to empower 20 Haitians! So please, click here to contribute, and together we can help finance Haiti’s future.
Thank you, and please check our video if you haven’t!
