My name is Daniel Abrams and I am honored to have the opportunity to represent Georgia's 6th district as a delegate for Bernie Sanders at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) this July.
Words cannot fully describe how passionate I am in regards to the Sanders campaign's message and proposed platform. I have dedicated countless hours of my time starting in late December with the grassroots movement. I also spent a lot of time with Panthers for Bernie (Georgia State University's club), for which I am the treasurer. Once the official Atlanta campaign headquarters opened up, I was there at least 30 hours a week organizing, creating flyers, running social media, phonebanking, training others, and doing voter registration. During my spring break, I went down to Florida, with several other Bernie activists, to canvass for Bernie.
I am dedicated to continuing the fight for social, enviornmental, and economic justice at the convention in Philadelphia July 25-28th. Unfortunately, going to the convention is a very expensive endeavor, so I humbly ask for whatever donation you can contribute. Delegates are responsible for our own expenses including airfare, lodging, food, and transportation in Philadelphia for four days, all of which is estimated to cost around $3000 per delegate. Hotel rooms are $400/night and the hotel payment is due by July 5th!
Any donation, regardless of the amount, would be very helpful and greatly appreciated. With your help, I will do everything in my power to secure Bernie the nomination, and also fight for a progressive Democratic Party platform!
