My name is Raina Whiting.  I was elected by the Hawai'i State Democratic Convention to represent Hawai'i as a pledged BERNIE delegate to the 2016 National Democratic Convention in Philadelphia.  I am the ONLY National Delegate in Hawai'i elected to represent the Big Island.  

The cost to get to Philadelphia is YUGE.  The flight is over $1000, plus the Bernie camp needs us to stay together in the hotel nearest the convention which is VERY expensive. The Bernie camp estimates the costs to be OVER $4000.  I am a teacher on Hawaii Island, and a full time graduate student - but this is an incredibly important and historic opportunity for our state and communities.  I pledge to support Bernie values and Bernie himself at the National Convention.
