Hey Family, Friends and Colleagues,
Thank you for taking the time to check out my page and see what I'm up to. As you may or may not know, I am a 6th trimester student at Parker University in Dallas studying the art, science, and philosophy of Chiropractic. I have developed a relentless passion for Chiropractic and what it stands for. On May 7th of this year I returned from my Chiropractic mission trip in Ouanaminthe, Haiti. It was such an incredible experience once again and could not be more thankful for everyone who helped me get there!
NEXT UP ON MY MISSION TO SERVE THE WORLD WITH CHIROPRACTIC, I will be embarking on a Chiropractic mission trip to Lima, Peru on August 19th until August 26th, 2017. I will be spending 8 days serving the people of Peru alongside 14 of my dedicated and well-trained colleagues. When we arrive in Lima, Peru we will be met by our trip coordinator, Dr. Chris Taylor, who has lived in Peru for over 10 years now and has led numerous of these mission trips. Why Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is the art, science and philosophy of detecting and removing vertebral subluxations. Subluxations are minor dislocations of spinal bones (vertebra) that cause the nerves exiting the spinal cord to become impinged. When this occurs the brain is not able to communicate messages from the brain to the body and vice versa for every organ and tissue in the body. These messages can be for heart rate, digestion or even breathing. (A little deeper: that area of the brain will become weaker and weaker as a result of the lack of stimulation, which can result in an imbalance in the autonomic nervous system) The brain also allows us to interact with the world...how we feel, who we love and what motivates us. If there is interference in the transmission of these messages, this person will not be able to function at their highest potential, which can impact physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Chiropractic adjustments restore the brain-body connection to facilitate healing, improve nervous system communication, and ultimately restore the optimal function of the body.
Why do I need your help?
In order to make this next trip a reality, it is going to require money. My goal is to raise $1500 more on top of what I earned for Haiti. This will cover all potential expenses for my trip to Peru...flight, food, ground transportation, and housing. Food and proper hydration is especially important given the conditions and volume of people we will serve.

Over my time in chiropractic school, I have developed the idea that chiropractors change lives, deal hope, build trust, and gift health by removing interference to the infinite wisdom that is organizing the trillions of cells that make up the human body. From this, I have expanded and developed a heart of service and a love for those in need.
