Col. Potter Cairn Terrier, Gatlin

Gatlin is a 3 year old loveable boy who was brought in with 3 other Cairns in the Olympic Team group. However, while the other 3 had minor issues, our boy Gatlin was a mess.

#1 - He is heart worm positive
#2 - he had horrible flea dermatitis
#3 - He has a huge hematoma on his ear, probably from shaking his head due to ear infections

And the Big one # 4 - Gatlin is completely blind at just 3 years old from an unknown cause. All that we know is he was born sighted and at some point went blind

Now, thanks to Col. Potter Cairn Rescue Network, here are the good things that are happening for this boy:

* He has started his Heartworm treatment
* He had a dental and is on meds for his ear infections
* He also had a drain inserted for the hematoma.
* His skin is 200 % better and hair is growing back
* He has an appointment with an canine opthamologist to see if we can do anything for his eyes

Even with everything going on with him, he is a happy, sweet boy and when we get him well he will be a wonderful companion!
