Hello,
My name is Maria and I am the Founder/Coordinator/Teacher of the Coding For Kids Club in Vancouver Washington.
I am a highschool student who firmly believes that children should know how to manage technology in this day and age. Because of this belief today I run a club that teaches children of all ages the basics of coding.
This club is a wonderful opportunity to open the eyes of youngs ones to the possibilities around us. The dreams that could be fulfilled are endless!
My personal dream is to turn this club one day into a Non-Profit that reaches out to those in need.
Learning to code opens multitudes of doors for jobs, for even changing the world! If we can open those doors for those who cannot afford it now imagine how much better a world we could be living in! Imagine the lives of children we could change!
The reason I am asking for money is because technology is not cheap. I do not have enough computers for the amount of kids that want to learn. Right now I have about 11 available computers for my club. My goal in the end is to have 24 available. This is why I need $10,000.
My club is free, which is why I am asking for the money on Go Fund Me.
I hope to have the funds by June. This way we can have summer programs for more than 10 students per class.
This club means the world to me. There is nothing better than being able to empower children to fulfill their dreams. This equipment I am asking for, can help me do that.
