200+ people will grab their poles and lures to take part in the second Chicago Fishes event on Oct. 19, 2018! Last year's event was tons of fun, so we hope you'll join us again! Click here for more information and to register .
Like last year, we are raising money to buy fishing supplies (bait, poles, hooks, lures) for the event. After the event, the fishing equipment will be donated to the Chicago Park District for youth fishing programs.
Last year's poles helped over 1,500 kids experience fishing in Chicago last year through various Park District programs!

Chicago Fishes is hosted by the Metropolitan Planning Council , Friends of the Chicago River , theChicago Park District , the Environmental Law & Policy Center , the Shedd Aquarium , the Illinois Environmental Council , and others. We will celebrate recent improvements to the river and learn more about the fish that call it home.
If we hit our goal, we’ll be able to get hundreds of Chicago area kids out fishing for the next several years guaranteeing a new generation of advocates for the Chicago River!
