AMORE was in the pen on her way to slaughter across the border. She went to the auction with braids in her hair and a note talking about the last time she was shod, etc. Obviously the owner didn't have a clue that AMORE, a saddle trained mustang would end up going to slaughter.
Thank heavens for AMORE's supporters who helped save her and bring her to Calfornia where she is a Mustang Ambassador in the San Francisco Bay Area!
AMORE is an important part of the American Wild Horse Institute's (AWHI) Education and Outreach Program. Rescued from slaughter, AMORE, the wild mustang has a lot of do to stop the slaughter of America's wild horses!
