GO FUND ME STORY

Sexual Assault Fighters Elite (707SAFE ) – A new non-profit corporation providing coaching,
transitional and transformational support for survivors of child sexual abuse, helping to
heal one life at a time.

Here’s my story. I am Romy Miquell Maple and I am a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, rape, and drugging as a result of being exposed to a cult that participates in hidden sexual crimes on children.  This organization (cult) has 8.5 million adherents and we survivors refer to it as a “pedophile paradise.”  I am a “whistleblower” whose story A&E saw fit to televise and document in two episodes of “Cults and Extreme Beliefs” with Elizabeth Vargas this past Spring of 2018. I also appear regularly on a New York call-in radio show on the topic.

As a newborn, I was left in the care of others. That began more than two decades of abuse -- primarily as a child -- while in the care of or surrounded by Jehovah’s Witness (JW) Elders who wouldn’t help me. The sexual exploitation not only caused me unimaginable horrors, but gave me a disease that has morphed into lifelong illness and physical pain. From this pain, I went from fearing this world and everyone in it to finding hope and being compelled to help others find the same.

My story is what most Jehovah’s Witnesses want swept under the rug. I have elected to not be silent but instead to go public with the goal of helping as many adults as I can who also survived sexual abuse in cults as children. Since the May 29 A&E telecast, hundreds of people have contacted me for support, ideas and encouragement. Out of this outcry for help, I have formed a non-profit that helps people such as me start new lives outside of cults and overcome the stigma of abuse. The mission of this non-profit is about rescue and restoration of damaged lives and you can join in this worthy cause by donating to GoFundMe.

So, here is my purpose for the GoFundMe initiative. I live on $800 disability a month for my incurable disease. I need nor am asking for NO money for myself.  What I do need is funding for my formal training and necessary conferences to complete my certification requirements.  Through and after that time, the non-profit board will assist in directing longer-range plans and we’ll start fundraising to meet those goals.

What I am needing to raise from your prayerful consideration is $10,600 for the following transitional budget items:

Cost for Certified Life Coach certification program plus travel. Includes use of materials for our 707SAFE program.  $7,500
Legal fees for setting up the non-profit, preparing all required IRS paperwork, copywriting my organization name, insurance, and more $1000 (raised, thank you)
IRS 501 © (3) filing fee $600 (raised, thank you.)
Travel expenses to attend a national Foundation’s retreat on scholarship.  The retreat specializes in educating adult, female, survivors of child sexual abuse. $1,000 (raised and completed, thank you.)
Unexpected start-up document registrations and fees. $500

Happy New Year to a group of courageous survivors!!
I want to thank all of you for your friendship and loyal support since the start of this campaign, Sexual Assault Fighter’s Elite Inc.
I still feel the Transformational Coach Training Certification is critical to the effectiveness of 707SAFE efforts and it expensive.
We still need $3,000 for me to finish what I started to put a value to my voice.
Everything so far has been a labor of love and wouldn’t have it other way.
Also, as an idea if you want to hold a fundraiser for you birthday that can be sent to our GoFundMe campaign.
My editor had that great idea.
I appreciate all your support.
If your can’t donate PLEASE SHARE.
Kindly

Romy Maple, who founded nonprofit SAFE707 to help victims of child sexual abuse, was brought to the national spotlight after appearing in an A&E documentary series in May. (Shaun Walker — The Times-Standard file) By Shomik Mukherjee | smukherjee@times-standard.com

Two different women came forward in 2018 with stories of repeated sexual abuse during their childhood by adult members of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

One woman, Romy Maple, said she was repeatedly drugged and sexually abused by the same man starting when she was 4 years old. She said other members of the Jehovah’s Witnesses ignored her efforts to alert them to the abuse.

Years later, Maple appeared prominently in the A&E documentary series, “Cults and Extreme Belief,” which brought her story to national attention. Maple has since launched a nonprofit, 707SAFE — which stands for Sexual Assault Fighters Elite — offering “coaching, transitional and transformational support” to fellow survivors of child sexual abuse, according to Maple’s GoFundMe page.

Merry Christmas to all of you brave courageous people out there. I’m so honored your all in my life after all these months. Our GoFundMe campaign is going steady and I appreciate all of our donors. Giving is a passion and it’s a thoughtful way to say “I believe in you and your cause”. It would be the best gift ever to finish my training to be a certified like coach with (ICF). ICF means international coaching federation... best program out there!! If you can’t donate please SHARE this campaign. We are still in need of 6000 to finish training. I will never stop my life purpose and my passion to help others get past any horrible destructive group. More healing and less hurting!
Kindly
