Westie Day of Hope for Camp Rising Sun
Donation protected
I think BALD really is beautiful! Do you? I sure hope so, because I am asking YOU to support me when I buzz it all off for kids with cancer.
I'm shaving my head "“ bald "“ in support of kids fighting cancer; kids who don't have the choice to lose their hair. Would you consider donating to my cause?
The first Westie Day of Hope will be held May 18th in the WHHS courtyard. The gathering will be centered around a head-shaving event(where I will get my head shaved!), but will also feature booths from school clubs and organizations. Money raised will go toward Camp Rising Sun, a camp in Connecticut for kids across the state who have or have previously fought cancer.
I have chosen to buzz off my hair because the toll that pediatric cancer takes on patients and their families is profound. Children must endure painful treatments and lengthy hospital stays while their families cope with unimaginable stress, anxiety, and financial strain. Your support will help to brighten the road to recovery for children with cancer and their families.
I am doing this in honor of the fighters I know and love. So many of my friends and family have been affected by cancer of different types. Their strength is amazing.
My campaign is dedicated to Alexander Harding- childhood leukemia survivor, Rose Mary Williams- non-Hodgkin's lymphoma fighter, Judy Berard- breast cancer survivor, Karen O'Neil- breast cancer survivor, Christal Block- melanoma survivor.
Please consider donating to my campaign!
