Hello and thank you so much for stopping by our page! We are Michael and Maureen from Long Island, New York and we are so excited to be adopting! We have been praying for a family for a long time and are excited to see what God will have in store for us.
We have been trying to have a baby for many years with no success. We have tried multiple fertility treatments with no positive outcomes. For over eight years, doctors cannot seem to explain the cause of this, but we are determined to have a family. Maureen and I started to talk about adoption. We had done a ton of research and decided to find out more. We are beyond lucky to have family and friends who have gone through this process and encouraged us to follow through. We are so excited to take this journey and create our family through adoption.
We went to a local adoption support group APC (Adoptive Parent Committee), just to see what it was all about. There we met the most kindest and loving people who answered what ever questions we had. Leaving there, we grew more and more excited about the possibility of finally having a family of our own. We knew adoption was what we were supposed to pursue. We are so excited to begin this journey. We know that someday there will be a car seat in our backseat and baby photos on our wall. We are starting this fundraiser now because many of you have asked how you can help us complete the adoption journey. Your gift to our adoption fund will be such a blessing to help start our family.
As you may or may not know, adoption can be costly. There are home studies, advertising (print ads, internet ads, Social Media, ect), processing fees, medical costs, travel, hotels, and legal fees.
We would feel so honored if you would join in the story with us by giving toward our adoption fund.
Most of you who know us, know we never ask for handouts. We believe in working hard and earning our own way. But if you know us, you also know how badly we want to start a family, and we are willing to swallow our pride to help make that dream come true. Anything you could give would mean so much to us. Or if you cannot give money, just your emotional support during this time will be appreciated. This is just the beginning of a long journey, and I'm sure having the support of our friends and family will help us greatly.
