Leaping 4 Lesley

Hi my name is Jennifer Howell and with the help of "Cloudstreet Paragliding Centre, Craigavon"  I am planning on jumping in a tandem paraglide from Benone Ridge, Limavady...with weather permitting, the first weekend in June.  I am fundraising for a friend Lesley Kennedy who in 2016, was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. I have only knew Lesley little over a year and we just connected....as if our paths where suppose to cross. Lesley is a beautiful lady, filled with courage, strength and has positive outlook on life, you can probably say she has truly touched my heart. Lesley is 35yrs old, married to husband Lee and a mother to 3 beautiful boys, 8, 10 & 14yrs old. In January 2015, she was diagnosed with Stage 2 ER+ Breast Cancer at 32yrs of age. She underwent a mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiotherapy.  In October 2016, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Secondary Breast Cancer, in the liver, lungs and bones. Lesley started back on chemotherapy, trying numerous types but unfortunately none of them were working and the cancer kept progressing. Lesley done some research and found a treatment called SIRT (Selective Internal Radiation Therapy) that could be carried out on the liver but unfortunately this is not an option on the NHS for breast cancer patients. Lesley then fundraised herself for this SIRT treatment in a private hospital in Manchester paying £25,000. This treatment skrinked her tumours in her liver but unfortunately in a scan in December 2017 revealed new tumours have now grown. Lesley has now been given the chance to Self Fund a drug called "Palbociclib (Lbrance)" at a cost of £1,000 every 21days, this drug is available to breast cancer patients on the NHS who have not had previous hormone treatments, but Lesley has, so she isn't eligible for funding via the NHS. Please, please, please help me raise the funds for Lesley, to help her keep fighting and keep making precious memories for her boys, husband, family & friends. Thank you in advance Jennifer xxx
