Hello all,
Well, another disaster has hit. Hurricane Harvey has hit Texas. I am a volunteer with Remote Area Medical (an NGO from Knoxville, Tennessee).I am flying from Hawaii to Dallas and will make my way to south Texas where I will connect with Remote Area Medical.
Our mission with Remote Area Medical (www.ramusa.org) is to provide free medical and dental care to those in need. We worked in Hurricane Katrina and international disasters around the world. I usually work as the disaster manager in the large disasters as well as a medic/nurse providing direct medical care as needed.
As always, I am a non-paid volunteer. As such, any assistance you can provide to aid me in paying for my expenses, I would greatly apprecaite the assistance. I expect to be working between 2-3 weeks during this mission. The money donated will be used to pay my personal expenses such as air fair, food, housing and any other expenses. While I am a volunteer with Remote Area Medical, these funds come to me and I AM NOT a tax deductable charity. Thanks for any assistance you can provide.
