Why would anybody publish a magazine about mental health in 2017?

Someone invented the internet, right?

But what if there were a better way of getting the right information, to the right people, at the right time… when those people have all but stopped looking?

To catch the forlorn gaze of that person sat in the doctor’s waiting room, or in Starbucks, or on the tube?

That individual who surrounded by others feels such isolation, does not know the next step and wonders if it should be in front of a train?

To give them a little solace in the story of a kindred spirit who may understand - if only a fraction – but enough to provide a grain of hope?

#MentalMovement was started by Emma and Steph as an online blog in February 2016. Over 12,000 people visit the site each month to learn from writers who deal with anxiety, depression, bipolar, body dysmorphic disorder, schizophrenia and alcoholism on a day-to-day basis.

In a world of woefully under-funded mental health services, they are just trying to make a difference.
