Need apartment, chronic illness

My friend and her boyfriend of 2+ years need an apartment. My friend is very private and does not want to have her problems put out there. So, here is what I can say. My friend has worked in healthcare all her adult life and loves to take care of people. Unfortunately, this does not pay all that well. Her b/f has had some significant health problems and he has not been able to work. His health has gotten worse, which has lead to lung damage and multiple infections. They need a stable, clean place to live. Where they won't be sleeping on couches and floors. Where her b/f can rest and recover when he gets out of the hospital. We have found them an apartment that my friend can afford and which is also within walking distance of her employer. This is importment because she does not have a car that she can drive. She was able to pay the deposit for the apartment but still needs money for the first month's rent. She also needs some basic furniture as they have lost most everything. Anything you can give them will help and they will be more grateful they you could imagine. My friend does so much to help others, let help her. Thank you in advance for all that you can do to help!!
