In Memory Of Travis Fristoe
In February 2015, little Astrid was born, likely consummated on their honeymoon. Seems perfect, right?
Travis had struggles. Avery never realized the severity of his struggles until it was too late. On Friday, August 7, 2015, Travis lost his battle with severe alcoholism. He left Avery, Suki and Astrid in a bad position with debt, legal issues and the loss of their patriarch. Avery lost the love of her life. Astrid will never know her daddy.
This GoFundMe account is set up to help them with their transition into life without him, to help ease the financial burden while they adjust. Any and all contributions are greatly appreciated.
Thank you so very much.
A group of Travis' friends is creating an archive of memories and stories for his daughter Astrid.

On a side note, there will never be enough thank you's for how amazing you all have been. I've known Avery since 1st grade and she is a sister to me. My first memory of Travis was in high school when Avery had this tremendous crush on him. They were equally smitten with each other and this was rekindled decades later. Astrid is the force getting her through this and the outpouring of love and support has truly allowed her to focus on grieving as opposed to worrying. Collectively, you have covered all of the details, all the way down to arranging hotel and transportation for his Gainesville Memorial and even letting her know there will be diapers at the hotel for the baby.
Most of my memories of Travis are through the many stories Avery has told me and through them all, it was always the kindness of his soul that stood out to me. It should be no surprise that he was surrounded by so many friends who are just as wonderful and thoughtful as he.
Much love and so many thanks to all of you.
