Bring Bee Home

Allow us to introduce Bee.. a tenacious little 6 yr old who has been through more than any child should have to go through at this tender age. In February of 2017 Bee was diagnosed with Severe APlastic Anemia, her bone marrow had stopped working causing her bad cells to attack her good cells thus rendering her with no immune system, this is an extremely rare diagnosis for a child. Over the next weeks Bee received infusions and transfusions to try and help build her immune system back up. Bee endured fevers as well as a staph infection, pneumonia and more. At one point, her grandparents, who by some unfortunate (or in Bee's case fortunate) circumstances are raising her and her siblings, were told she would not live. But to quote her grandfather, Rick, God is bigger than all that. On June 29th, after spending 90 days in the hospital in Bangor treating infections and undergoing immunotherapy as an attempt to jumpstart her bone marrow, Bee and her family embarked on the next leg of the journey, off to Boston for intense chemotherapy to ready her for a bone marrow transplant. She endured some set backs with adverse reactions to treatment and losing her hair.. in the end Bee has made it through by the grace of God and is currently recovering at the Ronald McDonald house in Bangor where she lives full time with her grandparents, now her parents, her two sisters and a brother as she is not allowed to go home until there are some much needed renovations made to their home. We are on a mission to raise money to get Bee and her family HOME together where they belong. Renovations will be very expensive. They need a sewer system, a heater installed, and many other projects. The grandparents, now parents, have spent their life savings taking care of the little girl they love so much and her siblings. This is one of the finest families you will ever meet.
