This fundraiser is designed with all of the children in our school corporation in mind.
"If your son/daughter’s cafeteria account becomes negative and is greater than -$5, then your student will receive a “box lunch”, until the account is paid. Please make note that a box lunch cost the same as a regular lunch. Which means negative balances WILL continue to increase with the “box lunch” charge accumulating each day."
I believe every student deserves a hot lunch.
Families with the most need to cover the expenses of school lunches are usually those who just miss the cut off financially for free or reduced lunches. If a child falls behind, they receive a "box lunch" until the account is covered but the daily charges remain the same.
It can become a struggle for some families to cover these expenses.
It truly takes a village. I have seen our community do amazing things for those in need and it is really something special when we all pull together for a greater good.
Money donated will be given directly to the school to distribute into these negative lunch accounts to ensure every child gets a hot lunch every day!
