My name is Phyllis Friederich. I live in Lemars, Iowa. I work with Country Trailers out of Remsen to organize this program. I am originally from Refugio, Texas - Class of 1984.
I attend United Methodist CHurch of Lemars. This is a legit account.
This Sunday Sept 17, We are meeting at the OLD Walmart in Lemars from 12 to 2 to collect donations and to sort and box donations. We need local hands on deck.
This Go Fund Me is designed for Refugio County, Texas which took a direct hit from Hurricane Harvey. Funds are used to support the towns in Refugio County and also any other coastal towns in need.
So far, we have raised less than $1000 - but, these funds were used to buy groceries and toiletries at the Dollar Tree (which were delivered to Rosenburg, Texas). I also bought hundreds of baby clothes at the Walmart Closeout in Lemars, Iowa. I paid 50 cents and $1. These clothes will either be shipped to Saint James Catholic Church in Refugio or to Florida.
Back in Refugio County, Texas - they need labor crews. Thousands of trees and property damage. Thank you - Phyllis
