Justice for Baby Justice
Hello , I've never done anything like this before so please bare with me..
Our story began on 7/8/2016 when my nephew Justice was born "he is my little brothers son" he was born with substance in his system due to the mother using during pregnancy.So the state or C.P.S. was involved since birth . I live over 200 miles away but go there which is my hometown every weekend. To see family tend to my property and go to church . So since my nephew was born I would pick him up every Friday afternoon and keep him all weekend then take him back home Sunday after church. Which would keep him safe throughout the weekends. Then in February of 2017 the state ordered a hair follicle test on him he was 6 months old at this time . And he failed again so he was immediately removed from the home . And placed in foster care . The parents gave up So I went to bat for him since I knew he would be lost in the system if I didn't and on the 15th. Of February I was able to go and get him out of foster care and bring him home !
And he is doing great !!
Recently my wife and I have started the fostering care classes because the way things are going with mom and dad he will not be going back with them and our case worker advised us that we needed to do this so it would make the adoption process a lot easier. The reason I'm doing this GoFundMe is because I need to hire a attorney and on top of that I'm missing a lot of work over this . It's on us to have him in the county the parents live in which is over 200 miles away every Friday for a visit supervised by C.P.S. which is tough for us to do that due to work plus we have 2 children of our own who are in school. No one has helped us with anything not even a pack of diapers . My wife and I have been married 17 years and she doesn't work I've always wanted her to be a stay at home mom . Now we have a 13 year old, 10 year old and my 1 year old nephew. And things are tight so without help I know I can't afford to hire an attorney to help with the adoption process. And I'm so worried about loosing my nephew in the system. If anyone out there that takes the time to read this can help it would be GREATLY APPRECIATED! I'm not looking for a hand out .. I've always worked really hard to provide for my family .. I just know without asking for help it is putting him in jeopardy. Thank you so much for reading this ! God bless!!
