I have been friends with this family for about 20 yrs. Grandma, mom and baby are all now in the hospital. No one is able to work because they are all taking care of each other. Please help them as much as you can by donating so they dont have anything else to worry about.

"The day you give birth to your child is the day that you are no longer the main priority. It’s the day that your heart begins beating outside of your body. Having 3 children who need me, my sidekick mom being sick, and myself not feeling well is beginning to take a strong toll on my spirit. Knowing that I need to be at home in my bed healing myself is impossible when I have a 8 year old who is scared and confused, a 7 month old who is a total mommas girl and also not feeling well, a 3 year old who has extreme ups and downs in the hospital, and a man who also needs comfort and companionship. If someone would have told me that 2 weeks at the lake would turn into this horrible nightmare, I would’ve sold the camper and stayed home with my precious family. E.coli 0157h7 is a strand of E. Coli that is found in contaminated water, or undercooked beef. Children under 5 are at risk for what they call Hemolytic-uremic syndrome. When the ECOLI bacteria begin to die they release toxins into the body, those toxins begin attacking and killing the red blood cells and platelets (which will cause anemia) when the body starts to eliminate the dead blood cells and platelets they clog up the the kidneys leading to acute kidney failure. This strand of ecoli CAN NOT and I repeat CAN NOT be treated with antibiotics!!!! Just because it’s a bacteria does NOT mean antibiotics will help!! If antibiotics are given to someone with ecoli 0157h7 it will kill off the bacteria to quickly, filling your body with all those toxins at once. 4 out of 6 doctors we’ve been in contact with have recommended antibiotics (most have not personally dealt with this strand of ecoli). There is no cure for this, it must simply run its course. Antibiotics were prescribed to paisley and after one dose is when all the complications began. Please share this in hopes to bring awareness to other families who may end up with or come in contact with the ecoli 0157h7 strand."
