VanderMolen Identical Triplets
Donation protected
1 in 200 million.
Those are the odds for conceiving spontaneous, identical triplets. Wikipedia says it happened 4 times in the US in 2015!
Lucky us!
My name is John VanderMolen, and I'm a U.S. Marine veteran working in government, and Julie is a geriatric social worker (soon to be Superwoman). Both of us grew up in the Mitten, in beautiful Grand Rapids, MI. We've lived in Montana and North Carolina but call G-Raps home.
We are going to be new parents, so you can imagine our excitement and fear (10% excitement/90% fear) when we learned there wasn't 1 heartbeat, not 2 heartbeats, but 3 heartbeats! It's no surprise that most people when they hear the news say "good luck" instead of "congratulations." We have no idea what we're getting ourselves into!
So this page is set up if you'd like to help out financially. The funds collected here will be used directly to pay for medical expenses, hospital bills, and anything else necessary for all things triplets. We have no set goal, so no pressure, and we are very grateful if you decide to help. But we mostly covet your thoughts and prayers, as we start this new and exciting scary journey.
We'll update you as we move along! Julie is due in November/December 2016.
