Helping an Endangered Species

Hello! My name is Lisa and I'm currently going into my junior year of college. This summer I decided that I wanted to volunteer abroad and came across an opportunity for sea turtle conservation in Costa Rica. 

Nearly all species of sea turtles are classified as endangered. Preserving these animals is important to the preservation of the ecosystems in which they live.

The fundraising money will be used to support the program fees I must pay (which include meals and board), the flight, and other related expenses.

I will be doing this turtle conservation project through a program called IVHQ.  I'll be working with a biologist to do activities like beach patrols, building hatcheries to protect eggs from predators, beach cleaning, counting and tagging sea turtles, locating nesting females, and collecting eggs.

I'm planning to depart on July 3rd, so I need funds as soon as possible. I love animals and I've always wanted to travel and experience new things. Anything anyone could give would be so greatly appreciated. Even if you can't donate yourself, if you can spread the word to your friends and family for me it would be helpful.
